LEGAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON WILL AND SUCCESSION

Q:- Whether a grandson person has any right of share in the property of his grandfather during his life time?

Q:- What is the meaning of nominee?

Q:- Can a person having children adopt a child under Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act 1956?

Q:- My friend’s mother owned a property along with her son which she sold when the son was a minor. On becoming a major the son challenged the sale and the court decided that the sale was improper. Subsequently the son died and his mother inherited the son’s share also since there was no other legal heir for the deceased. Whether the buyer can put forth his claim over the remaining half share of property acquired by the mother upon the death of her son?

Q:- I proposed to buy a house which is jointly owned by three persons. One of them died intestate in an accident. Certificate for death and legal heirship have been obtained. The legal heirs include wife, two minor children, father and mother of the deceased. I have entered into a sale agreement with  the two remaining joint owners and the legal heirs of the deceased. For the minor children, the wife of the deceased has signed as natural guardian. Are there any other precautionary measures to be taken by me? Please advise.
